MY CANVASS
Spanning 700 square meters across two levels, this five-bedroom, five-bathroom home stands as a living testament to perseverance, sacrifice, and love.
For as long as I can remember, my mother’s dream was simple yet profound — to build a home from the ground up. Growing up, she poured her energy into giving us the essentials: shelter, education, and nourishment. Through years of hard work, relentless saving, and smart investing — and countless days spent working overseas — she turned that lifelong dream into reality.
The concept for this home was inspired by her vision of “our own private hotel” — a space that feels luxurious yet grounded, elegant yet easy to maintain. The design embraces a “less is more” philosophy: clean lines, open spaces, and warm natural materials like wood, glass, laminates, and stone. Every surface was chosen not only for beauty but also for practicality, keeping comfort and longevity in mind as she gracefully ages into the home she built with her own hands and heart.
More than just a project, this home is deeply personal — a symbol of gratitude, resilience, and the kind of love that endures. It’s a work in progress that continues to evolve alongside my journey as a designer, and as a son.
